Blepharoplasty (eye-lid surgery) is an outpatient procedure often performed in the office. This procedure removes excess lid skin and herniated orbital fat, which make up heavy "bags" under and above your eyes.   The operation does not leave visible incisions.

Botox injections.   Botox is a protein that is actually a poison, if ingested; however injecting Botox in small amounts into   the muscles of forehead and around the eyes helps smooth wrinkles. Botox relaxes kinetic wrinkles, i.e. those caused by muscles responsible for facial expressions (frown, smile, surprise, etc.). Depending on the extent and depth of wrinkles, women normally require 30-50 units in one session, while men, whose muscles are stronger, require 50-80 units to relax wrinkles of forehead, frown lines and "crow's feet". Sessions maybe repeated every 3-6 months.

Fillers. Very often kinetic wrinkles become deep and "static" with age. In that case Botox is not enough. Deep furrows, such as nasolabial folds or deep forehead lines, can be smoothed further by injection of filling agents which include Collagen, Restylane, etc. Filling compounds are injected into the dermis of the skin. Depending on the compound and depth of the wrinkles   sessions may be repeated every 3 months to 1 year.
